Lodge Rooms

Empire Builder rooms have been decorated in the grand tradition of America’s railways. Each has a bathroom and queen bed.  Some Empire builder rooms also have a futon that can be converted to a twin bed for a maximum occupancy of three (3). Engineer striped duvets, with the Great Northern logo, grace the bed and futon.

Great Northern rooms, located on the 1st floor, are decorated in traditional country inn style. The Great Northern has a bathroom, a queen bed, and twin bed, for a maximum occupancy of three (3) people.

Empire Builder Family Suites offer space for families to spread out. Each contain a bathroom, two queen beds, a twin bed and one twin futon in two sleeping areas for a maximum occupancy of six people.

*The Izaak Walton Inn is listed as a National Historic Landmark. In keeping with the era in which the lodge was built: TV’s, telephones, elevators, air conditioning, and in-room coffeemakers in the lodge are not available.  Due to the remote location of the lodge, no cell service is available within a 30 mile radius. Pay telephone booths are available for guest use and are located at both hotel entrances.  Complimentary guest wi-fi is available in our Flagstop Bar.
